Terms of Service

Effective as of March 2, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Serif mobile application (“Application”), operated by Uptilt AB (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Application. By using the Application, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account or let others access it. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content

We have a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, share, or transmit any content that is:

  • Offensive, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or hateful
  • Sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic
  • Discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activities
  • Spam, misleading, or fraudulent

Users who submit objectionable content will have their content removed and may be permanently banned from the Application. We act on all reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.

Acceptable use

In addition to the above, you agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use any unauthorized tools to gain an unfair advantage
  • Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the Application or its servers
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or manipulate rankings
  • Use the Application for any illegal purpose

Reporting and blocking

If you encounter objectionable content or abusive users, you can report and block them directly within the Application. When you block a user, their content is immediately removed from your experience. All reports are reviewed by our team and we take action within 24 hours, including removing offending content and banning users who violate these Terms.

Content you create

You retain ownership of content you create, such as chat messages and profile photos. By submitting content to the Application, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Application. We may remove any content that violates these Terms.

Moderation and enforcement

We use a combination of automated systems (including AI) and manual review to enforce these Terms and maintain a fair and safe environment. We reserve the right to, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Remove or restrict content that violates these Terms
  • Issue warnings to users
  • Temporarily suspend or permanently ban accounts
  • Reset rankings or scores obtained through cheating

Advertisements

The Application displays third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of these advertisements or any products or services they promote.

Availability

We strive to keep the Application available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Application may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Application is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Application will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uptilt AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Application.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the Application. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
